Visuals: FILL 'EM UPMy public speaking book will teach you how to use visuals during your presentation to help keep your audience involved and awake. The term visuals means any picture, photo or image used. The best way to project a photo or image during your presentation is by filling up the entire slide or overhead as much as you can. Let me clarify this does NOT mean you should fill the projection up with tons of text! This tip is only useful when applied to visual images. Let's say you take a picture of a funny sign on a pole and the sign is only about 18 inches tall. If you zoom in on the sign so that it fills the frame, it will have a much greater impact on the audience than a picture you took farther away. The impact of your visuals during your presentation is an important lesson taught in my public speaking book. It can really help to keep the audience awake and interested.
